Welcome to Mari Polletta web site !
I am a researcher at the Istituto di
Astrofisica Spaziale e Fisica Cosmica (IASF). The IASF is part of the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF)..
I am a member of the Spitzer Wide-Area Infrared Extragalactic Survey (SWIRE) Team and a huge fan of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), especially of the heavily obscured and extremely luminous ones. The figure on the left shows the current record-holder as the most luminous obscured AGN in the 50 square degrees covered by SWIRE (aka SW104409). You can learn more about it here.
